There’s nothing like a bath and there’s nothing like a bath with fresh lavender bits floating around in it.
I have a wonderful little kitchen/herb garden growing on my deck again, and this year I added lavender to the mix. So lovely! This image was created for the Be Still 52 class which I’m enjoying so much.
Spring is such a whirlwind here. The first signs of green are like a miracle and then every day there’s another miracle and another and another… it’s very hard to keep up with all the photo opportunities!
Then there’s the clean-up of the yard, garage, flower beds and lawns … running to the greenhouse (10 times) and hauling plants and pots and soil around.
I’m exhausted and by the time I sit down at the computer at night to write something my body complains and I truly cannot stand it for very long. That’s when a bath with Epsom salts, Aveda body wash, and fresh lavender come to the rescue. Ahhhh, bliss…

Bliss indeed….a wonderfully relaxing image.
Oh my! All those bath ingredients sounds simply delightful! I love Aveda products, and lavender. Love your photo…it makes me want to slow down and breathe!! Gorgeous! Have a great week Barb, enjoying each new day of springtime renewal.
such a beautiful photo and yes I love my bath so much I do it every day. since they made the big garden tubs I have been in heaven every since. your placement is just spot on and love the lavender. Enjoy your spring, we are beginning our god awful summer.
Mmmm love the smell of lavender it won’t grow in my heavy clay soil but rosemary loves it….
how sweet!
Great photo! I can sure relate to the busyness of a day. I too love epsom salts and lavender. Haven’t tried the Aveda body wash though!
So pretty!
Oh, Barb, this is so calming and lovely! I love the scent and color of lavender. Baths are something I love but never seem to take the time to do for myself. I should change that! I love that little bottle and that table with the peeling paint . . . sigh. Such a perfect backdrop for your beautiful vignette.
What a pretty still life this is, Barb!
Love this photo and the message it speaks to – relaxation and calm. Lavender is my favorite scent and I’m headed to the local Farmers Market for Lavender soap this weekend. As always, your photos look like the pages from a glossy magazine and offer inspiration and encouragement. Thank you!
I adore lavender and the lighting in this photo is to die for.
Oh, this is beautiful! I love how you add the smallest details to complete your vignette, like the small pieces of green leaves.
Along with warmer weather, spring does bring a few more chores. A lavender bath sounds wonderful! Your image is so light and beautiful. I love the chipped paint on the table.
A really lovely presentation..fresh and clean..having just returned from Provence..I totally appreciate your lavender.
This makes me want to draw a bath right now and I’m a shower person:)
I planted lavender last year but it didn’t make it through the winter:( Will try again in a new spot after seeing this beautiful picture!
What a lovely vignette. Visiting from Be Still.
Wonderful, I can smell the lavender! Great table as well.
Lovely! I am a huge fan of lavender, which only grows well in a pot with my soil.
