Renaming photos in Lightroom is very easy, and today I’m going to share this process for my Blogging Bits and Bytes series. You can find links to previous newsletters, etc. if you check out the tab on the Main Menu here on my blog.
I’m moving on to crafting a blog post from conception to completion. Keep in mind that it may sound like too much work, but I promise you, it’s worth it. You just need to be organized.
In the 7 Ideas for Kickstarting a Blog Post I revealed my top secret for “getting it done” which was to simply come up with a name for your post. You may have the idea, you may have the photos, and you may even have started writing it. But for me, once I settle on a name, it all comes together so much better since my work flow is smoother: I know my keyword, and I know how to proceed on renaming photos.
The next few lessons are about crafting a blog post, and each lesson will build on the previous one. I have a Crafting a Blog Post checklist which I’ll share with you at the end of this series. I use WordPress (self-hosted) but these tips are applicable to any platform.
So here’s the plan for this (imaginary) blog post. I came up with an idea, the photos, a name, and a keyword:
Name: Thanksgiving Table Setting Ideas
Keyword (s): thanksgiving table setting
Now it’s time to show you how I re-name my photos, and I have a video for you! Ta da! Always living and learning here! The video is about re-naming photos only. It’s not about the edits, or resizing, or using Lightroom. I simply am doing the work in Lightroom.
