The technique of “Hapa Zome” just blew me away when I first discovered it on the Terrain blog.
Oh my gosh! the possibilities!!
Make one for your mom, a friend, yourself … it’s so easy, make one for a stranger!
I didn’t follow the directions exactly, but what I did worked beautifully:
- Set a flower face down on a piece of watercolour paper.
- Cover with some parchment paper.
- Pound with a mallet.
- Peel away paper.
- Peel away smashed flower … that’s it.
Oh my goodness Barb!! Love this and I’m off to find my papers, mallet and make a new IG post! You are so amazing!! Thank you dear friend!!
Thank you Beverly! and you’re welcome! xo
Love these iPad typos!!
oh, my gosh! how cool!
Making a supply list…I MUST DO THIS!
Think this would work with feathers?
I’m not sure Brenda … maybe if you dipped them in some paint?
What a great idea!!
Super idea. The best of spring and just in time for Mothers Day. Lovely!! Thank you Barb.
Thank you, and you’re welcome, Sharon!
How FUN! I always pressed flowers in books as a little girl- and sometimes between 2 pieces of glass to frame (I should try that again!)- but this seems so instant! Definitely should try this! You are so crafty!!!
that is lovely!! I am going to find myself a flower and do this right away!
Oh, what a great idea … so lovely, Barb !
Have a nice weekend,
Sylvia
