Friday Finds

September 6, 2013 by Barb 14 Comments

Here are just a few of the extraordinary things that I found this week…

A nasturtium and a marigold that I dug out of the garden about a month ago and put into a pot on the deck are rewarding me with a profusion of new growth.

Crispy and colourful leaves on the driveway leave no doubt as to what is on it’s way.

friday finds

Morning sunlight streaming through the trees and onto the dewy grass.

friday finds

Some beautiful light shining into a farmyard.

This slippery salamander was on the road as I walked to meet my friends. It seemed to be frozen, so I had to push it along to the ditch so that it wouldn’t get run over. In the ten years that I’ve lived here I’ve never seen one until now.

It was a beautiful week.

Always love the veining in nasturtiums, beautiful selection of colors in the sunlight. I love the peppery taste in salads also. That farmland is sure special. Well, I don’t get to see those leaves unless I go couple of hours from here as you know and it is usually in November. Going to Portland Or next month and hope I get to see them then, keeping my fingers crossed.

I love your nasturtiums! They don’t grow that well here. Your light s awesome! I remember seeing salamanders a lot as a kid. Hardly ever as an adult. I think it’s an age thing. Lol
