I discovered this big frilly mushroom hiding in the debris behind the garden. Isn’t it pretty? Just sitting there not caring if anyone saw it or not… just being a mushroom.
I’m starting to feel a bit overwhelmed with commitments that are bearing down on me this month. And not only the commitments I’ve made, but also the commitments I am about to make.
I spent all day yesterday working on a project that basically fell apart at the seams… arghhh… so I’m feeling deflated…
Today I’m going to pretend I have nothing more important to do than to go shopping. Hey! that’s a good thing, because that’s what is at the top of my list! Crate and Barrel here I come!
Have a wonderful Wednesday!
Isn’t nature just so grand, love how you can find such beauty. I hate it when I feel like this and try like you to not get myself in this position. I know that sometimes we all do but I just don’t like it. Hope it get easier and hope today is a good day.
Your post covered the complexity of our lives; the simplicity of the mushroom just being a mushroom and our busy lives of over commitments and fast pace. I struggle with the same thing wanting simplicity but taking on too many things at one time….I hope you are feeling less stressed today and your shopping trip was fun…
What a cool mushroom! Have fun. Sounds like we’re on the same cruise ship. (Much better than a boat)
Gorgeous shots of the mushroom, Barb. Enjoy your day at C&B; shopping therapy is a great way to de-stress. :)
really neat fungi!
Retail therapy works! It’s easy to feel overwhelmed these days so sometimes you just have to step away for awhile. Many times I’ve had to convince myself to give my overload a break and come back to it later. And guess what? Fresh eyes and a calmer (happier) attitude can make everything seem a little more surmountable! Hope you found some C&B goodies!
What a lovely FIND! And your photos even lovelier!
