Supporting Actors

November 17, 2015 by Barb 7 Comments

The prompt in The Studio|Online is about allowing the supporting actors (i.e. tables, etc) be the star for once. As usual, it’s open to interpretation, so I’m letting “the chair” shine.

I’ve had this little beauty for a few years and I don’t believe I’ve given it the respect it deserves. Somehow it got relegated to a bedroom in the basement and as they say “outta sight, outta mind”.

Well, no more. Meet Ms. Chippy Chair.

Supporting Actors

She’s really quite lovely.

And so are these apples … I still have apples I picked from my neighbours orchard last September, and I don’t want them to go to waste. So, what to do …

Supporting Actors, Apple Sauce, The Studio Online, Focus on the "Table"I think making apple sauce is once again on the agenda.

Since most of the apples I picked were teeny tiny, I gave up with the peeling part and found I liked it much better. That went for the pies and crisps too … no more peeling for me. I also discovered that after a whirl in the blender the peel virtually disappears. All those years of peeling … what was I thinking?

How do you make applesauce?

Nice to meet Ms. Chippy Chair, she is a beauty! I can imagine you will have fun ‘playing’ with her. :) I have never made apple sauce, but if I ever do I will certainly not peel them. Thank you for the advice and can’t wait to see more of Ms. Chippy Chair.

Love your chair, glad she will be in the limelight now :) It’s funny, I have a chair almost the same, a bowl almost the same, and some apples we picked !

Oh yes. Tables can be covered up, but chairs need to be the pretty jewellery in a room. And about apple sauce, I hardly ever peel apples. Besides, all the good vitamins are in or just below the skin. :D

I looooove your chair , wish I had one just like it . I love this prompt too but I havn’t joined in yet . What am I waiting for ? Your images are gorgeous !!!! I like to slice apples and bake them in the oven because I have a hard time digesting the skin . It could be classed as a chunky apple sauce ?

Ms. Chippy Chair, nice to meet you!

She is a beauty, and the apples suit her well. Barb, isn’t it fun to rediscover what we have! :)

I have never made apple sauce but when I use apples in cooking, I always peel them… and eat some of the peel. They say that vitamins are just below the skin so I would regret to throw the skin away altogether.
