I’m not ready to say goodbye to the succulent parade …

I guess I’ll have to spend the winter editing photos and playing with Kim’s presets …

Do you use Lightroom? Have you ever spent a ton of time getting a photo just right (which is great) but then deciding you want to adjust exposure, or contrast,or try a different preset?
Lightroom Tip of the Day:
- In the Library Module, with the original image selected, right-click and choose Create Virtual Copy.
- Work on the virtual copy.
- Now you still have the original to go back to.
- You’re welcome!

very nice.
Hi Barb. I love your succulent compositions. Very nice. I’m trying to keep my two beautiful bowls of succulents alive thru the Canadian winter…while I’m in England for a month…lol. I put them into my unheated attic studio. Happily, it’s pretty mild here on the West Coast so I think I might have a good chance. I don’t use lightroom, but do use an older photoshop. Great tip you shared. It’s very important not to mess up original images.
Wonderful variety of succulents images. Your compositions really bring out the beautiful textures of them all.
I love the light in your kk_hazed processed photo. I need to find a place in my garden with better light for shooting… thanks for the inspiration. And I love virtual copies, when they are used wisely, they are very helpful!
Just love the dark-mood preset on that last image !!!!! Succulents are really photogenic aren’t they?
Thank you Barb for the tip on virtual copy. Last night I was editing and it was too late to go back to original copy. This will be my new work flow. Love your newsletter and photography!
