This takes me back to the farmhouse where I grew up. Faded memories of lilacs and mom.
I’m swooning over that window. Yes, it’s a sweet little prop …
… and the flowers are glorious this year.
Oh my. Thank you Kim for Melancholy. Just in time for lilacs.

Day 4: Make it Happen
Oh and don’t forget to join me for “app” happy wednesday tomorrow!
I like the chipped paint of the window and the edit goes with the feel of what you were going for.
Fabulous images , the preset ( which I also love ) is perfect for the lilac, and I looooove your window !
I’m visiting all the lilac submissions, lol! Your are beautiful. Thank you, Barb, have a blessed week!
It all goes together so perfectly- lilac, window, preset- and your artistic vision- beautiful work, Barb!
exactly. the wisconsin farmhouse where i grew up. picking lilacs for my mother – who sadly was allergic to them, but put up with the bouquets from little girls as long as she could stand them. :)
You do melancholy well! :-D Yes, that window … love it! I haven’t searched out any new props, I need to get busy. Lovely photos, as always, Barb!
Oh Barb, how lovely! LOVE that window for a prop and Kim’s melancholy is WONDERFUL!
Gorgeous! I love the light from that “window” and the deep color of your lilacs.
Your lilacs are beautiful, Barb.
We had none this year. :-(
I am guessing it had something to do with the historically cold winter we had.
One of my favs in the springtime and yours are such a deep purple. Love them and love your captures of them!! None of my bushes on the side of the garage bloomed this year, must have been the bad, bad winter!!
Beautiful. The window is great.
Glorious!
I love the nostalgic feel of these images! Gorgeous lilacs!
