We just returned from another stay at the beautiful Emerald Lake Lodge in Yoho National Park, British Columbia.
The pull of the mountains, the colour of the lake, and the cozy rooms complete with fireplace but no tv or wifi, was too much to resist. I tell you, if you want to unplug, there is no better place!
We did take a canoe out (and although some of the white stuff from the mountains fell on us, it was amazing ;)
The 5 kilometre walk around the picturesque lake is a must! One side is paved and makes for easy access, and the other side is wet, spongy, and quite filled with roots.
Both sides are absolutely stunning.
Apparently the “wilder” side is a rainforest, and quite unusual for the area …
Still dreaming about it …

Beautiful colors. Beautiful photographs. Seems like a splendid early autumn getaway you had Barb. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Thank you so much Dorry! I always appreciate you stopping by!
What a beautiful place! The color of that water is just unreal. I love the scenery and the details, too – the raindrops on the grass might be my favorite, but then I’m crazy for water!
Thank you so much León!
Barb,
This is so amazing. The last time we were there we missed the bear 🐻. It is the so relaxing.

Your photography is stunning! The water color simply takes by breath away….such a beautiful and relaxing location.
Thank you Beverly! It’s a spectacular place!
Wow! What a beautiful location…My son and his wife went to Alaska this past summer; the pictures and video’s of the water were unbelievably beautiful and clear. Maybe someday I’ll make it to that area – I’m in the midwest USA.
So breathtaking Barb, now I know I REALLY want to go to British Columbia!
