I spied this critter on our window so I was able to get upper and under photos. I used my new macro lens (Nikon 40mm fixed focal length with a maximum aperture of f/2.8). I didn’t do too bad – I like the first one with the bug reflected in the glass (twice). And check out those ears will ya!

The first one is my favorite too Barb.
It really is a wonderful shot.
The 40mm is a wonderful lens, and I love the fact that it’s so light, yet works so beautifully as a macro. it’s also a great portrait lens.
Have fun with it!!

Great shots! No1 is my favorite, too. It seems that I bought the wrong lense with 50mm ….

You made the stink bug striking. My mom was squishing them all weekend because they had invaded her tomato plant and it was too late to use a insecticide. Good job.

Really like your first photo too. Glad you’re getting to experiment with your new lens. I’m hoping to purchase a macro lens in the next couple of months. Thanks for your gracious reaction to the intentions post the other day.
