Winter Berries and Pine Cones

November 25, 2014 by Barb 21 Comments

There’s such beauty in winter berries and pine cones, don’t you think? Especially when placed in a bowl with the sun pouring in on them.

Of course I had to play a little and add one of Kim’s presets (kk_darklight) …

And when they end up as a new blog header … well that’s a bonus!

Happy Texture Tuesday everyone!

Yes a lot of beauty there in these images Barb. I didn’t know that was your cookie sheet at Gather, I used it in a few of my images, thank you for bringing it. Isn’t it a good thing when we can see the beauty in old things?

Oh these are so beautiful Barb! The touch of sun adds a little warmth…so pretty. Love them all…especially the bottom two. I’ve been gathering pine cones from our pine tree waiting for a shoot to grab me. Adore your new header, and that cookie sheet is awesome!!

Barb, These pictures have the “everything went just right” look. Honestly, the light, the simple and balanced composition, the different perspectives, and the natural elements all combine for a series of very successful images. Once again, nature inspires! You shine as a photographer!

I agree with everyone here, Barb your pictures are so wonderful, the soft light of the autumn sun, the association of brown, red and green vegetals on the white tabletopn, the way you arranged them randomly make them outstanding! I love the different points of view with a preference fot the “above” shoots… such a festive and christmassy new header for the soon coming holiday season… great and gorgeous series, I’m not tired of looking at them again and again!

Barb, I love everyone of these images. I think my favorite is the side angle shot of the white bowl with just the tops of the pinecones showing.
