This is just a collection of photos feeding my Waterlogue obsession. It’s not a linky party and I can’t seem to find one so I’m having my own private party… I wonder if there is enough interest out there? Would you play along if I started one? Crazy idea?
It’s instant art for the masses… and perfect fodder for scrapbook pages…
This is an example where I used the “Rainy” setting – it’s not one I use often but it seemed to work with this little birdhouse on my potting bench (which is covered in snow this morning).
And of course, Arizona dreaming…
So what do you think? Leave a comment if you might be interested in a party. I know it’s a big undertaking to set one up, so perhaps you just need to hit me on the head with a dose of reality!
Have a wonderful Wednesday!
What’s a linky party? I may be interested….Love the Waterlogue look…I may have to download that app!!
Kathy, a Linky party is where you come to link up a photo or project so that other’s will see it and hopefully come to your corner on the internet to look at it. It’s a way of getting to know other artists and to bring people to your blog, or Flickr account, or any other place you may be posting your work. Kim Klassen has one on Tuesdays for Texture Tuesday, and on Fridays for Friday Finds. Check out her blog to see an example. I hope you will consider playing! Let me know if you have other questions/ideas!
Love that app. I think I would play along.
That would be awesome, Claudia!
I love watercolor looks! But after playing on Instagram the first 2 weeks this month I find I’m missing my other apps and have missed playing a few days. If you opened it to optional painterly apps like Brushstroke, that would be good. I’d play.
I think that’s a great idea Roxi! I would still call it Waterlogue Wednesday with other app options included in the instructions on the day of the link up! Yay!!
i don’t have that app (no i-products). but i’ve seen so much of it in blogland, i bet you’d have lots of takers.
love each and every one of these, and I am sorry but I feel the same as Roxi. I am really so over Waterlogue after 2 weeks or is it 3 weeks whatever it seems way too long to me and I am ready for it to be over. I am missing my other apps such as Brushstroke.
I appreciate what you’re saying, Barbara… people may be getting waterlogued… :)
Maybe it just needs to be a Painterly Party then people can use their own apps. I like to stack other apps with waterlogue because I don’t always like the results.
That’s kind of where my mind has started going, Dotti!
If anything would tempt me to buy that app, a waterlogue party would be the trick! Haha. Love looking at all the creativity from it. These are great examples on this post. So yes, I’m in!
What app is this?? How did I not know about it?!
I’m up for the link but also would like to include other painting apps. How about Watercolor (watercolour?) Wednesday and include all creations with a painterly look?
I’m so happy to hear you are up for the link, Melinda! I’m getting a few interested people and a whole lot of ideas so I am just about ready to start formulating a plan that would not be restrictive at all!
Sounds like fun! I have been missing my other apps also but one thing I did start doing that has made me love Waterlogue again is to use it in conjunction with Blender. I blend the Waterlogued image with the original and bring a little more of the detail back. But I also love Brushstroke and Glaze. I’d be up for a painting party!
Fantastic, Terri! I knew I could count on you! :)
I love waterlogue although I rarely publish the pictures I make. So far never on my blog but occasionally on Instagram. I think a link up of some kind would be a great idea! Personally I think it would suit my blog to do a monthly link up of waterlogue pictures – anything more might be too much. I hope you go ahead with this & look forward to joining in if you do.
Julie
How very nice to hear from you! I visited your beautiful and inspiring blog and I feel very fortunate to have found you. I look forward to seeing more.
Now that I’ve had some positive feedback on the link up, I’m starting to get my plans together. Thank you for taking the time to stop by and comment.
Sounds fun.. Really it does. Im not sure I can each week and will keep it in mind Barb.
Would love to have you whenever you can participate, Lisa!
Hi. I just got the app! Did you go ahead with the link party?
Hi Debi!
I did go ahead with the linky party – it’s called “app” happy wednesday and you can use any app you want – including of course Waterlogue. It’s lots of fun – and starts Wednesday mornings and runs until the next Sunday night.
