Texture Tuesday, the ‘Do’ eDition

September 13, 2011 by Barb 21 Comments

Our assignment today (if we chose to accept it) was to create something with the word ‘Do’ and/or the new ‘Autumn Burst’ texture. I based my creation on both – the word ‘Do’ and the new texture as well as two other textures. Brushes are from Kim Klassen’s ‘Affirmation’ set.

Barb, Your image is lovely and the texture looks really great. This is the best use of autumn burst I’ve seen yet! If it wouldn’t be too hard to explain, could you tell me why you have each texture on two separate layers with gradient masks? Just wondering what that does.

Your isolation of that leaf is fabulous! This whole image is just wonderful. (I still don’t have those brushes figured out!)

This is really great! I love the autumnal feel here…even though it feels anything but fallish here! (blazing hot and dry)

    You have a great blog! ( “

I love the sentiment expressed. The change of seasons as suggested with the image of the fallen leaf seems to suggest perfectly that we seize the day.

You have created the feeling of a windy gust passing through, bringing action.
