Seeing Through the Lens

December 29, 2012 by Barb 18 Comments

I was looking for “patterns” for the December 28 – One Word Project (Instagram) at Shutter Sisters. I thought I was just getting the wire fence, but I also got the two sets of branches – almost like a mirror image! I didn’t even see them until I processed the photo in Picfx. I’m constantly amazed by what our cameras reveal to us and once again I am reminded that I’m missing so much that’s going on around me by not paying attention.

I love discovering other items in the photos once I upload them to the computer. I think we are so focused on the main thing when taking the photos we forget to look at what else is there. Your fence photo turned out lovely.

This is simply wonderful. It amazes me also how much more my camera sees than me. It’s certainly opened my eyes up more and more.

It is amazing what our camera lens sees that we sometimes miss…so that means we are doubly blessed with what our eyes see and our lens see. Beautiful shot!!

The trick is to not admit that you didn’t see it :). BTW, I “didn’t see” LOTS of things in my photos too :)

That’s why I love photos. That and being able to look back at them.

Really amazing. This image evokes so much emotion……it could be a prompt for a writing class. LOL Or be on a postcard or calendar.
