digi scrap tutorial

Just playing around in Photoshop and revealing a bit of my inner digital scrapper persona…

This is my latest Digi Scrap Tutorial for Digital Scrapper.

Layer Mask Reveal! 03.19.2013

Stitches: All Stitched Up by Susie Roberts
Flower: Jubilee by One Little Bird
Beads: All About Me by Amanda Taylor
Paint stroke: Vicki Stegall
Background paper: Anna Aspnes
Font: Vintage Typewriter

I used the technique from the tutorial to create the winter scene as an overlay. The brush was #45 Watercolor Textured Surface. I duplicated the overlay and set the top layer on Color Burn.

Thanks for looking!

I know you’re tired of snow but what a lovely scene. Your processing technique really shines here.

Hi Barb, love the new blog, it fits my macbook now, whereas your old one was very wide…I also really love this effect, the stitching and paper effects look great with the snowy scene…although I’m waiting for warmth and flowers now! ;)

We had a sunshine 4 days ago and then it dumped snow until yesterday. Spring was here only for a short while, the winter is back! :)

The image is truly beautiful. I’ve lived in cold country and even though there’s snow on the ground, one knows when spring is about to arrive. It’s the color of the light I think. I love the processing and I don’t know about digital scrap booking, but wow, this is a stunning landscape!

I hope true spring arrives very soon! :o)

This is so beautiful, Barb! I love your edits. I’m so weary of snow…I’m starting to think spring is never going to arrive.

Fantastic photo! I just went out yesterday and caught a few winter shots. Hopefully our big melt is going to be on now. I’m anxious to get out and take some spring shots! Have a great Easter!
