Yesterday I spent a pleasant, but chilly couple of hours outside playing at my potting bench. The temperature was hovering around 3C but I found it rather invigorating.
I had some tidying up to do; washing clay pots, putting tools away, and gathering items to bring indoors for props during the winter. I just wish there was some way I could bring my potting bench in …
I shot and edited this image with my phone, then sent it to Photoshop to add one layer of kk_way on soft light at about 50%.
Have a wonderful Tuesday!

Gorgeous work Barb, I love the bench you use. I am lucky we have an unheated sunroom that I can use in the winter as long as I’m quick when it’s cold !
I love the mood that this photo sets. Just perfect for autumn winding down leading us into the winter ahead. It sets just the right mood with the almost-monochromatic earth tones.
So very beautiful! The flowers are very cute and the little round stones are perfectly placed. I agree with Viv, I love your bench too.
Ooooh, I love this Barb, so dreamy!!
So lovely and soft Barb…and wonderful subject with just enough color to make the photo a bit dramatic…I love all of your work..so inspiring.
beautiful furry lollipops!
Oh my, this is fantastic, Barb! I love your photo and also your processing!
lovely edit on this photo – I miss my potting table – we sold it when we moved :-(
Each one so perfect…great shot and editing…..
Amazing image! Love that flower – so dramatic! I also love the soft muted tones in your image.
Beautiful ! This would be so lovely framed Barb ! :)
This looks like something out of a magazine, barb.
Truly so nice.
Such a beautiful shot, Barb. May I ask what kind of plant this is? Or is this just a stupid question?
I wish I had a potting bench like this! Gorgeous.
The softly faded edit of this picture is perfect for the transition to fall. I wish I could play with you at the potting table – love to work outside. Now, I need to get to raking our leaves – lots of oak trees here!
such a wonderful dreamy photo…I find that I’m taking more and more images with my phone too – and then editing on my computer…thought I needed a new camera – maybe just need a better phone! you have such a great eye for capturing those everyday events – love it…
Lovely moody image!
Very nice – texture on textured objects! And I love the soft and blurry aged effect.
Straight out of designer magazine. The black stones just make it.
Barb, this image is lovely, and your blog is a joy to visit!
