Texture Tuesday: Wabi Sabi

April 15, 2014 by Barb 19 Comments

Texture Tuesday, Perfectly Imperfect, Wabi Sabi, Kim Klassen, Barb Brookbank

Right now my whole world is the colour of a pussy willow; off-white, cream, brown.

Yesterday I observed a rabbit that had this exact colouring! It’s starting to change from the snowy whiteness of winter to the dusty brown of summer.

We have old dirty snow, brown grass, and tangles of branches everywhere.

It’s beautiful. It’s my world, and I feel alive.

Today Kim talks about Wabi Sabi. Oh my! it’s the only reason I got this posted this morning. I won’t say any more… you must pop over to read about it! Thank you Kim!!

Disclaimer:

I’m going into town today with the girls, and I’m making a bee-line to the flower shop …

Have a wonderful Tuesday and thank you for stopping by!

Oh I adore pussy willow! I think I’ll make a bee-line to the flower shop to buy some. We just finished with all the brown, and drab winter colors, thankfully the last week and a half of warm sunshine has changed all of that. I LOVE your collage with soft hues! Enjoy your day Barb!

I have always loved pussy willows … but we don’t have any around here. Isn’t it crazy how our respective areas all have their good things and their not so good things. I guess that’s what makes the world … and us … perfectly imperfect.

    What a pretty mosaic, Barb.
We finally have pussy willows and crocuses, so when the snow arrives this afternoon, it will have something to cover! :-(
Happy day to you, and I think I’m headed to the flower shop too!

I almost bought some at Fry’s yesterday, but it was beginning to go to seed and I wanted it more closed so I could see the stages before it went to seed. I wasn’t going to pay for already gone! :) I always love the puffs and the color. Love the storyboard with the different angles. Hope you have a good lunch and find some color for your next post and Easter.
