Texture Tuesday – The Not Necessarily Textured Edition

August 7, 2012 by Barb 13 Comments

I was in my office/sitting room this morning doing a few yoga stretches when I spied a rainbow! A photo opportunity not to be missed – I don’t often see rainbows in the morning.

So I walked down our path and out onto the dock and captured this with my iPod. I’m doing pretty good with my instagram project – taking a photo a day . . . and sometimes more than one.

This past weekend we experienced a pretty big storm – rain, wind, and hail (so sad).

uh oh . . .
it came down so hard for about 6 or 7 minutes and then was over . . .
grapes . . .
end result . . .

. . . but what can you do? I was strangely unmoved at first. Then upset . . . then when I thought about the farmers and their crops, I got over it.

I’m going to dump whats left of my flowers and wait patiently for the ‘mums’ to arrive in the stores. Then I’ll grab 4 big pots and all will be well.

Today is a day to post any image you want at Texture Tuesday – absolutely anything goes – just a bit of fun!

Sorry about the hail! We had baseball size hail near where I live not too long ago and absolutely demolished everything. Well, nearly time for the mums anyway, and they will look lovely! Glad your house not damaged!

Oh, dear. That hail just tore up your plants. But you’re right to put in into perspective to include the farmers.

Love that double rainbow shot and you also got its reflection in the water! Kudos!

We farm and garden…what can you do about the weather? Not a thing but pray and move on. We are sooooo dry here now. (Still sorry about your plants. )

We need rain here…not as bad as last year….but, not that hail.
The rainbow is beautiful. And, a double one! I’ve seen very few of those in my life. Good shot.
