Texture Tuesday – The Look Down Edition

August 14, 2012 by Barb 24 Comments

Oh man, this quote resonates with me . . . Lately that’s how I’ve been feeling. Staring down getting older . . . and at the same time, miraculously, I have never felt more inspired in my life. So much to do. So little time.

I have a lot of creative pursuits on the go. Combine that with all the new stuff I’m trying to learn and sometimes I end up feeling paralyzed. Then I thought about this quote by Julia Cameron:

Art is not about thinking something up.
It is the opposite — getting something down.

I totally love that.

    Love the image and quotes!

I have so many projects going on right now – I often wonder why I take on so much at once instead of just finishing one at a time, knowing that it overwhelms me.

    Thanks for the inspiration.

How beautifully put, Barb! I relate to that “paralyzed” feeling completely…it’s hard to stare it down sometimes. Your photo and processing is gorgeous…thank you for sharing your thoughts and image!

It’s always easy to comment on your flower pics – there’s always many things to comment on, like in this on how all the petals touch the side, and the vibrant colour and the birds eye view perspective. Lovely.

I so agree I have been filled with inspiration and want to keep learning so I figure we will have to live until we reach at least 150 to get it all in! Great shot!!!
