Oh my, July is whizzing by … as I spend beautiful day after beautiful day with grandkids on the lake or in the yard as they play, I make sure to say a little thank you every day for all my blessings.
Here’s my day yesterday:
6:00 am – greeted my youngest grandson (said a little thank you inside) … gave him breakfast and set him up in front of the TV (yes I did).
6:00 – 8:00 I wrote a tutorial. Yes. I wrote a tutorial! Sometimes you just gotta do what you just gotta do.
8:00 – greeted my two older grandchildren (said a little thank you inside) … and then helped hubby prepare breakfast for all.
Spent some time washing their clothes and towels, then made lunch to take out onto the boat. We were out on the lake from 12:30 – 3:30.
When we came in hubby and I spent the next couple of hours in the yard while they splashed around in the pool.
Hubby lit a fire and we roasted hot dogs and then s’mores. When I glanced over at the youngest grandson I could see he was staring straight ahead with s’mores all over his face. He was zoned out, but blissful.
I took him in, gave him a bath and put him to bed (he actually asked to go …).
At 8:00 I took some Ibuprofen and laid down on the sofa with my iPad and proceeded to watch a marathon of LR-Begin classes. I’m so behind but I really want to get this one finished – it’s bursting with info.
Took a little break and helped the other two fold their clothes and get ready for bed.
Then I went back to LR-Begin. I remember drifting off a few times … I hope I was at least getting subliminal messages …
See you tomorrow at “app” happy wednesday!
loved the ‘said a little thank you inside’. warmed my heart. :)
What a grand time you’re having with the grands! And that is marvelous. {I don’t know if I could do three. Guess I am spoiled by ‘one’.} And, yes, even loving, doting grandmothers sometimes have to allow TV watching. When I have my granddaughter all day by myself, by 4, 4:30, the TV is a blessing. Great photos and I love, love, love those daisies!
What a lovely post…it sounds a lot like my life these days….and yes, July just flew by…but it was a beautiful month…
I love the top photo..those lemon yellow daisy’s are so beautiful…the softness against the rough table is perfect.
Enjoy your day…
After watching my young second cousins being pulled on a raft tied to the back of their dad’s boat this weekend, I was filled with joy. I can imagine how blessed you feel. Great pics!
Wow a busy day but lovely memories for you during your long Canadian Winter ….
Looks like you had a great time with your grandchildren, Barb !
Lovely photos … and pretty daisies !
Have a nice evening,
Sylvia
Such busy fun!
A beautiful way to spend the day and a great way to document it! I love that last image!
Looks like a fun day at the lake! So nice that you are creating wonderful memories for your grandkids. Your daisy image is so pretty, bright and clear, and i love the grungy texture of the pealing paint in the background.
Loved the last photo, it made me smile , he is adorable ! Love your daisies too, so soft and beautiful :)
Sure sounds like to you have quite a full day! Great images… I especially love your daisies and what a fun and cute photo of your grandson.
I missed this post on Tuesday but wanted to say how sweet is it with your grands, I know the feeling you are feeling. So thankful. Beautiful moments.
Great images and great story. Nicely done.
This is my first visit from Kim’s link-up, and what a gorgeous image of those daisies, Barb! So light … and ‘happy’!
Looks like you’re having a wonderful time enjoying what’s left of July … it won’t be long before we say good-bye to summer here … the time has just flown! I love your photos and enjoyed reading about your day, too. We all have so very much to be thankful for, don’t we!
I’m also using LR, version 3, and still haven’t learned about it all … I’m sure Kim’s classes would be very beneficial, although I’m wondering how much has changed from the 3 to the 5 … looks like I’m really far behind! You have a wonderful weekend enjoying all of your blessings! =)
