I’m so thrilled with my little pumpkin plant pot display! This week I found some cute little ceramic pumpkins at Home Sense and I thought they would make great plant pots for this time of year. They look great in a simple display, but also fit nicely with a Thanksgiving tablescape I’m working on.
So what else did I find this week? I found that sometimes I feel like I’m on fire, and other times I feel like I have a wet blanket draped over me. This past week was the wet blanket week. I have a project hanging over me and I’m dragging my feet, and consequently I don’t even feel like working on the fun things. When I read Kims post this morning … well, oh man … how does she manage to hit the nail on the head every time?! I really needed to hear her gentle encouragement today … I’m going launch Microsoft Word right now, and start writing.
What a cute pumpkin pot! Love your composition. Happy Friday!
I have one of those pots and that is such a great idea for your succulents, I can see your beautiful table setting now.
Oh Barb, you know JUST how to create beauty in your home! I’ve been loving all your succulent images. I NEED me some succulents! LOL
love your pumpkin pot … just perfect for a wonderful tablescape! I agree that Kim always has a great message to inspire me!
Haven’t read Kim’s email yet since I missed posting of FF today. Man, I’ve got to get back in my groove! But I can tell you this … that planter and the succulent are a match made in heaven. I really love all these and since I haven’t done any punkin’ huntin’, I need to get busy!
Oh pretty! I like the way the white pottery looks against the green plant and the rustic wood. I have had a wet blanket week as well. I am trying to shake it off. A walk in nature helps me but it’s been raining for days now.
Oh you always have a delightful way of presentation, and I always love the simplicity of your compositions!!
Such a beautiful composition – I love how you arranged everything!
The ceramic pumpkin pot and the little pumpkins are perfect. So beautiful with the plant inside – this will look so pretty on your Thanksgiving table. I like the simplicity of it.l.
I guess a lot of us are on the same page. Your little pot is cute.
I love your pumpkin, I bought one the other day very similar ! Your idea to plant your beautiful succulent in it is lovely, they suit each other perfectly !
Beautiful fall decor! Love the new pumpkin!
Your pumpkin pot is darling and because of it’s color it fits in nicely with your real little pumpkins…rich tones are perfect..shows a nice contrast..
I agree about Kim’s words today and like you if I have a difficult task…I procrastinate…I don’t remember being like this when I was younger…Oh well, I think I have the “i’ll do it tomorrow” attitude now…
Enjoy your weekend Viv..
Your pumpkin pot is simply adorable!!! Especially with the succulent plant in it. The image is a simple look, and the black background is perfect. I felt like I had a wet blanket thrown over me this week as far as creating photos. I took plenty of outdoor photos, but the “make” ones just weren’t coming easily. That is when I just “throw in the towel” and stop. A big project will often make me want to procrastinate as I try figuring out just where to start. Hope you were able to begin making progress on your project!
Your doing some very very beautiful work.. A spark for certain. I ve been sick most of the week and catching up. Get that blanket off you also.
Loved what you created. I havent shopped for a while and wont yet now for a while.
Have a wonderful Saturday. xo
Barb, Hope you dug in and got the “job” done, so you can get your focus back to your beautiful photographs. I know the wet blanket feeling, and I’ll encourage you again and again to persevere. Your pumpkins pictures today look as though they belong in a a magazine spread – every detail arranged to tell a story, tack sharp, artful compositions. You rock!
How nice to find that combination of fruit and ceramic. Very tactile and lovely with the succulent green.
