Lightroom and Finding the Light

May 22, 2015 by Barb 10 Comments

I’ve been so inspired by Kim’s bright and airy images lately, that I set about finding (creating) the right light and then enhancing it in Lightroom. Now I think I’m going to change my dining room window situation from no curtains, to white opaque curtains …

Oh, and I’m loooving the new presets she’s created, some of which are available in The Studio Online … can I say magical … basically one click …

When I saw this vine at a local greenhouse, I didn’t hesitate one second before putting it in my cart … it’s called a Wire Vine … love …

The weather has turned so incredibly beautiful and I’m finding it hard to stay inside … hmmm … I just happen to know where to find a garden that needs to be weeded …

Have a lovely weekend everyone!

And here I was going to offer mine to weed…but it looks like you will find one easily. I love your creamy images…you and Kim both play so beautifully with light.

I have to agree with you on the light! Regardless of the time of year, my natural preference is a light, airy photo. I’m trying to learn dark and moody but so far, I can’t say I’m smitten. I love everybody else’s, just not sure suits me. So thank you, for the light ideas! The top, white on white, is particularly pretty.

You are so inspiring Barb! you have the sense of composition, you know how to find the best light, your props make me jealous, you master the use of Kim’s presets so perfectly… these 3 pictures are a lesson about light and composition… I love your new vine plant and its lovely pot, it’s so photogenic, so airy… I’ll never get tired of looking at your pictures Barb, they’re such a feast for my eyes…
