Sunday Suppers is a new favorite cookbook (I made most of our Thanksgiving last year with their recipes…divine!) but it looks even better styled with succulents!

Hi Barb, Wow, once again you’ve brought wonderful ideas right to my very own doorstep! I’ve been playing this morning, trying to come up with an image for the table setting theme/story. It’s a bit harder than it looks! I think if we all had snazzy studio with lots of space, it would be a lot easier! My house is a big mess as I had to move so many things around to get a table like atmosphere! Love how you shared the story of your inspiration from Martha and your pictures could easily grace the pages of her magazine.

Barb, I like the mood of these images and I especially love the first one. The negative “space to breathe” adds so much lightness to the composition.
Barb says
Thank you, Petra!

wow, such beautiful images! How have you made this “matte” effect in these images please, if I may ask?
thank you ♥
Barb says
Hi Brigit, thank you so much! To get the effect on my images, I used a Lightroom preset by Kim Klassen called kk_dreamlike. Kim includes these presets with many of her classes.

Hi Barb,
So pretty and a wonderful touch of vintage in a delicate way! The beautiful tones of grey and green, the different textures popping up from the book, the plants& the spices … And how the Sunday Suppers – title is blurred yet visible in the last shot!
