Bachelor Button (Centaurea)

June 8, 2011 by Barb 13 Comments

While I love the glorious and full blooms of roses and peonies (can’t wait), I’m always quite drawn to the small, delicate types. These perennial bachelor buttons are no exception. I love the details of the bud and the spidery petals of the flower. This lovely little plant is just now starting to bloom and is a welcome addition to my country cottage garden.

Now, here I was going to attempt a photo of the same flower today — but after seeing yours, no way! I can’t do any better than this, Barb. Stunning. :)

Beautiful and I love the color even I’m not a huge fan of blue flowers. The “design” of this flowers is also interesting.
