Hello, and welcome to Sunday Sundries! I’m here to ramble on about my week, it helps me be grateful and to “celebrate” all the small (and large) extraordinary moments in my life.
Today I must acknowledge the past week has delivered some life events that are definitely not worth celebrating. It’s been a stark reminder to me to not only cherish the people I love, but to tell them how much I cherish them … and to tell them often.
When I chose my word this year, I knew there would be times like this. In order to make it work, I refer to a quote by Tom Peters “celebrate what you want to see more of”. I can do that. And yes, there are many things to celebrate during this trying time … some small, some huge, and I’m thankful for that.
Today, I’m celebrating the people who link up to Sunday Sundries … here and on Instagram:
(TL) @britt_throndson (TR) @idreaminflowers (BL) @orangerinka (BR) @amstrate3
Aren’t they all so gorgeous!? I must point out the image by @orangerinka … it’s a painting of my yellow teapot! How fabulous is that!? Thank you so much @orangerinka!
So what are you celebrating this week? I’d love to hear – it brightens my day!

When I feel the sadness and sorrow of losing something or someone in my life, I try to remind myself that I should celebrate the fact that I had some one so profound in my life….that I do indeed feel sorrow when they are no longer. That’s truly a gift, dontcha think? Hoping next week will be an easier one for you

Hi Barb, sorry you are having trying times at the moment sending love and prayers your way . I love your blog posts but need a reminder. I am on your newsletter but it doesn’t come to my email each time you make a post. I think it comes once a month.
Isn’t that just the sweetest thing to do by @orangerinka ? Just beautiful as are the other images you chose this week.

Barb, I’m so sorry that such bad things are going on. Sending good thoughts, and prayers to you, and your family.
That’s a beautiful quote, and so truly inspiring….I could see it on one of your beautiful photographs. Today I’m celebrating cooler temperatures, and the hummingbirds hanging out in the Bee Balm. Such small things bring joy.

Such a beautiful post. So much lovely color. All the muted shades of purple and the lovely yellow tea pot. Wonderful. Like you I have been sad since the beginning of the month but everyday I get saying “I have today”, knowing that it is my choice of how I spend it. Wishing you a brighter week.
